Närebo Farm is only 4 km from the centre of Lidköping, near the road to Läckö Castle in the province of Västergötland. Närebo has been in the possession of the Carlander family since 1946. Vegetable growing, particularly cucumbers, began in 1981. Over the years, the area under cultivation has grown and more products have been added: marrows, squash, dill, peas, onions, garlic, melon and raspberries. But cucumbers have remained their speciality. Närebo Farm produces a range of cucumber preserves, and the farm shop offers a wide selection of products from Vänerbygdens Mat - locally produced food of high quality.
